Amazon having a sale on Powerstop Brake Kits, found the one for Kristin for $93 Canuckistan Rubles, 4 rotors and 4 pad sets.
She only has about 50k kms but last I remember there’s still a lot of pad left... can’t check till a few months later as she’s in the lockup...

$93 dollars for four rotors and pads? Buy it and store it until they’re needed.

Hmmm unless needed soon; or unless it’s, like, a fire sale price on something being discontinued; if they offer it at this price now, wonder if there isn’t a pretty good chance somebody’ll have a price at least as good, closer to when you know she’ll need brakes...? just sayin’
After all , “It’s not how much money you make, it’s how much you keep ”, right ? -someone smarter than me

RockAuto has the same kit for like $400...

The only thing I’m not sure is because the rotors are drilled. Experience on my friends car is higher pad wear and noise.
If it was blanks I’d be all over it, but seems like Amazon doesn’t carry that equivalent kit.
They are cheap I guess...

My story and I’m sticking to it lol —
Unless it’s a closeout/discontinued, if they have this price now, they will again
Of course other things factor into it.
Just saying, don’t worry bro I betcha you can get similar price at some point later.
If that would be of help.
Hey, the question was asked so that’s my gratis Tazio take* on it, and worth every cent of the invoice cost too haha

I see. Yeah, it’s hard to pass up on a price like that ... but then again some things are too good to be true.

Think it’s some “Family Day” sale going on. It’s sold by Amazon themselves.

Yeah, the Camel told me it was $92 back in Boxing Day as well.
Although I did missed a deal on a wax kit for $78, and it went up to $119 and never came back down...

“Canuckistani Rubles”
I call it Canuckistan, but calling their loons rubles is even better.

Haha Tazio has been rumored to be fallible
If solid rotors would be preferable, wouldn’t these be at least a bit of a comprise anyway?
Maybe this is one of those decisions that seems tougher, ‘cause either way there’s probably no real downside? Worse things could happen...

its not a family day sale, as its powerstop trying to get out of amazon, thus clearing all of their items.
DO IT

They’ve rarely been at parity. Due to much of the economy of Canada being dependent on trade with the US, combined with prices that reflect the USD being worth about 30% more, it usually returns.
When CAD is trading strongly against the USD, Canadians flood across the borders to buy cheap US goods and gas.
I’m heading up there next week for a vacation, hoping the rate stays decent. Made out like a bandit in Mexico a few months ago...

Not everything’s on sale though, I checked for a few other friends their other kits were still regular price. I even checked the Juke, and that was still regular.
